Ludwig Göransson is an award-winning composer, conductor, and record producer. He started with music lessons from a young age, delving into musical genres ranging from pop/rock to jazz and classical. He went on to graduate from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. In 2007, Ludwig moved to Los Angeles where he studied in a program for Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television at the University of Southern California. He soon found work assisting film composer Theodore Shapiro and, after gaining experience in film shorts and television, got his big break in 2009 as the composer for the sitcom Community.
Today, Ludwig is widely recognized for his lively and experimental cultural-sampling approach to composing and producing music. He’s received multiple award nominations and wins for his work, including three Grammy Awards. In 2019, he won a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for the hugely successful film Black Panther. He also won two Grammy Awards as the composer behind Childish Gambio’s worldwide hit and billboard number-one, “This is America.” In 2018, Ludwig was awarded the Denniz Pop Awards Grand Prize for his fantastic contributions and enormous musical range.
