“It is a wonderful, challenging, inspiring, frustrating business full of creative people who keep your mind alert and your spirit high.”
Marie Dimberg joined the music business through EMI Sweden in 1984. During her thirteen years with EMI she held the positions of Head of PR, Marketing, and Vice President of EMI International in London, to mention a few. Ulf Lundell, Wilmer X, Rebecka To¨rnqvist, Jakob Hellman, and Lisa Ekdahl were some of the local artists Marie worked with, and some of the international artists were Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Blur, Tina Turner, Pink Floyd, Queen, and Radiohead. Marie was a key person from the very beginning, when some of Sweden’s most successful international acts were formed, like when Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle formed the super-duo Roxette in 1986.
In 1997, Marie started Dimberg Management, which proudly represents some of the most talented, successful and respected artists in Scandinavia. Today Dimberg Management is one of Sweden’s biggest independent management companies with an international roster including Roxette, Peter Jo¨back, Loney Dear, and Jonas A°kerlund. Dimberg management was also key in breaking Swedish Idol winner Agnes internationally.
In 2016 Marie founded the record label Space Station 12 along with Per Gessle. Apart from being co-owner, she also serves as Head of Operations. So far the label has had releases with Fanny De Aguiar, Good Harvest, Alex Shield, Charla K, and Per Gessle himself.
