“For me the magic happens in the studio. The moment when you create a song and get caught up in it is probably the best feeling I know and the reason why I do music.”
Linnea is a Stockholm based songwriter who also works a lot out of London and LA. She’s collaborated with artists like Wizkid, Naughty Boy, Louisa Johnsson, and Mike Posne. Examples of songs she’s co-written include, “TG4M” for Zara Larsson, “Chasing Flies” by Tinie Tempah feat Nea which she also features on, and “Wolf” by the artist SKOTT.
What was it like to win a Denniz Pop Award?
“It was amazing. I’ve been fighting for basically all my life to do music full-time and make songs that reach people. To win the prize felt like an important receipt that I’ve done something right and that I am going the right way.”

Email, aka Emanuel Abrahamsson, is a Swedish grammy nominated songwriter and producer. He is best known for co-writing ”Lush Life” for Zara Larsson, with over 570 million Spotify streams (#3 UK-singles chart and sold 2x platinum in the UK). He also produced vocals on ”This One’s For You” for David Guetta Feat. Zara Larsson.
How has your life changed since winning the Denniz Pop Award?
“This award has definitely given me more chances and opportunities in life. But what I also feel changed me was getting some kind of acknowledgement from the jury legends. It was a great push forward to focus even more and work even harder for the music I love.”
Iman
“I love the feeling of knowing what an impact you can make on people with just one song. And the energy you get from seeing that, on stage!”
Iman was first discovered by Simon Cowell’s team in 2013 for writing the song “High for you.” Her most recent work includes the single, “Not down 4 whatever,” produced by Jake Manson from Blonde (credits Ed Sheeran, Rudimental, Craig David); the single “Say My Name,” together with Digital Farm Animals (credits Galantis) with release in July 2017; and her EP “Sexy girl hot swedish” (to be released in Fall 2017), featuring songs written by the lush life team; Zara Larsson Linnea Södahl, Emanuel Abrahamsson and Freedo, and other amazing people like Axident and Big Taste (Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo).
Do you have any advice for others who aspire to do what you do?
“Never doubt your talent and don’t be afraid to turn your dreams into actual goals. When you acknowledge what you actually want to achieve there’s nothing holding you back.”
