Lisa Miskovsky is a Swedish artist and songwriter, hailing from the northern province of Västerbotten. Lisa released her self-titled debut album in 2001. The record went on to win her two major national awards in Sweden. Two years later she won her first Swedish Grammies for her second release, Fallingwater, which reached number one on the Swedish charts. Lady Stardust, the standout track from the album, later went on to become a big airplay hit all over Europe. She has since released another three albums – Changes, Violent Sky and Umeå – establishing a dedicated fanbase across the globe. Her latest music, the EP Home, was released in 2019.
Lisa Miskovsky is an accomplished instrumentalist and plays the majority of instruments on her own recordings. Along with her artistry she has always collaborated with fellow composers and written songs for others. She has created music together with the likes of Max Martin, Rami Yacoub, Joakim Berg, In Flames, Peter Svensson, Annika Norlin and Andreas Moe. Miskovsky’s international hit song Still Alive, featured on the action-adventure video game Mirror’s Edge, was later remixed by Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Armand Van Helden and Teddybears. Björn Yttling from Peter, Bjorn and John and the Stenberg brothers from The Deportees have been recurring partners in the creation of her own music.
