In this short video documentary Denniz Pop’s son, Daniel Volle seeks his roots to find out what his dad has meant to people who worked with him as well as what his legacy has meant to young Swedish music makers of today. Featuring Max Martin, Martin ”E-type” Eriksson, Kayo, Daniel Volle and Jacob Schulze. Also featuring Denniz Pop Awards rookie prize nominees Shy Martin, Elina Stridh, Fredrik Danielson, and Nirob Islam, plus Emma Bertilsson och Litens Anton.
Denniz Pop Awards is a charitable foundation initiated in 2013. The foundation carries the name of Denniz Pop, our beloved friend, colleague, and mentor who left us far too early. It’s a way for us to both honor his memory, and carry on the legacy he once started.
